Relationships are a crucial part of everyday life.
Relationships are everywhere including in the workplace, with in the family,
with friends, and colleagues. Maintaining positive relationships/partnerships in
life is one of the most important factors of healthy development and overall
success. In any relationship you work together as a team to struggle and push
through tasks, obstacles, and hardships that may come on an everyday basis.
Right now my closest and first relationship that I have is
with God. He helps me through even when I don’t deserve it. My second and most
privileged relationship I have is with my one and only son that is 11 ½ years
old. He is my pride and joy. I am currently building on a relationship with my
next child who is still a fetus and is developing and growing fast. I will meet
him/her in June. My other relationships are based on family, friends, and
colleagues at work and school.
My relationship with God is the most powerful of all because
he is the one that gives me strength when I am weak and guidance when I am
lost. My son loves me unconditionally and always makes sure he helps me in any way
that he can by being a big boy and being good in school, listening, and helping
around the house. My family, friends, and colleagues all give me the extra
boost of confidence I need to help me stay on track with my schooling.
Relationships are hard to maintain. It takes a lot of trust
and understanding. When trust leaves any relationship it is difficult to gain back.
I have had a lot of experience with losing trust with people. Some gained it back
and some never did. Relationships are based on each individual person and if
they are willing to make things work out or not.
Some special characteristics of a relationship is not only
being able to trust but also, being caring, giving, kind, open hearted/minded,
non-bias, understanding, reliable, and honest. Having these characteristics
will help your ability to maintain a healthy and successful relationship with
others. Having healthy and stable relationships can affect your work life. In
order for a job/facility/program to run smoothly and properly relationships
must be maintained with the staff and the clientele.
In the early
childhood field this relationships can be vital to a child’s development and
success in school. Relationships between parent and teacher must be established
and maintained for a child to progress in school effectively.
Hey Robin,
ReplyDeleteCongrads on your upcoming pride and joy. Having little ones are always a bundle of joy. It is great that you have a great relationship with God. When it seems times are getting difficult and hard and we can’t find any way out, he always shows up right on time with what we need. It is also good to see that you have built a great relationship with your 11 ½ year old as well. You are right that it is hard to maintain some relationships, just keep in mind that it is a time a season for everything including friends. When no one else does, just remember God got your back.
Good Post! Relationships are crucial for everyday life. I think its AWESOME that you have a relationship with God as well as your son. Most parents are so so fortunate to have a good positive relationship with their children and I commend you for that. Healthy relationships are needed for children to develop in all areas of life. Really enjoyed your post. Thank you for sharing.
